Ski Jumping debuted at the 1924 Winter Olympics, but the Women’s events were introduced only in the last edition.

The Ski Jumping events will kick start with the Men’s Individual Normal Hill Qualification event on 8th February followed by the Men’s Individual Normal Hill on 10th, Women’s Individual Normal Hill on 12th, Men’s individual Large Hill qualification on 16th, Men’s Individual Large Hill on 17th, and Men’s Team Large Hill on 19th of February.

A total of four medal events will be contested for Ski Jumping at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Normal Hill (men and women) and Large Hill (men individual and men’s team) are the only two disciplines. Three of them will feature men while the only women Ski Jumping event will make its second appearance. The qualification will be based on the combined FIS score of athletes for World Cup and Continental Cup during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons combined.

All of the four Ski Jumping events will be held at the Alpensia Ski Jumping Stadium located inside the Alpensia Ski Jumping resort. There will be a total of 100 athletes (65 men, 35 women) participating in the four events of Ski Jumping combined.
